HARTFORD CITY – The Crossroads League Player of the Week award winners for men’s and women’s basketball have been released for competitions during the week of November 9 through November 15. Players are selected for this award by their performances and contributions during the week of competition.Clay Yeo, a sophomore from Bethel, was selected as the Crossroads League Player of the Week. Yeo helped the No. 10 ranked Pilots to a 3-0 week and 8-0 mark overall by averaging 25.6 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game.
Yeo shot 53 percent form the field this week including 50 percent from three-point range.
The 6-5 Bourbon, Ind. native started off the week by tying a career-high 31 points in a 96-75 victory over rival Holy Cross College. He backed that performance up with a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds in a 75-56 win against (RV) Waldorf College. Yeo capped off the week with 25 points, nine rebounds, two blocks, one assist and one steal at Viterbo University.
Clay Yeo currently leads the Crossroads League in scoring with 22.25 points per game.
The Triton High School graduate looks to continue his fine play on Tuesday, November 18 at 7:00pm when Bethel College heads to Indiana University-South Bend in the Crosstown Showdown.
