SYRACUSE – Wawasee High School senior Bre Robinson officially signed to swim at Purdue University this afternoon.
With parents, school officials and several media outlets in attendance, Robinson proudly penned her name with the Big Ten school. Robinson holds the backstroke, 100 free and 200 free school records and was on the record-setting 200 and 400 free relays teams. Robinson also has her name attached to seven of the 11 Wawasee pool records and has her name on at least one placard at all seven of the Northern Lakes Conference pools. Robinson’s older sister, Brittany, also signed to swim at the Division 1 NCAA level after her senior year, signing a letter of intent with the University of Louisville.
Robinson, ranked fifth in her class at Wawasee, will study biology once at Purdue.
“I fell in love with swim team and their program,” Robinson stated. “I also feel that Purdue is right choice for me academically as well.”
While the signing became official on Thursday, Ink Free News had an exclusive with the future Boilermaker back in October. That story can be read here.
