Country music artist Chris Young is this year's featured entertainment act at the Kosciusko County Community Fair.

Fair time is right around the corner and Kosciusko County Community Fair is the place to be this summer.

This year’s Kosciusko County Community Fair is set for July 9-14. The week will feature a variety of activities geared toward all ages.

Livestock and 4-H project judging will take place throughout the week, ending with the grand finale, the annual Sale of Champions.

For those who enjoy making crafts, foods and clothing, Open Class competitions will be also take place. An official schedule of activities and entertainment is still in the works, however, the following events have been announced:

The parade will be at 4 p.m. Sunday July 8. The parade theme is “Pioneer Days, Modern Ways.” July 8 is also free day.

Wild West Review will perform July 9 in the grandstand. For musical entertainment, Christian music artist Brandon Heath will take the stage July 10, Theory of a Deadman on July 11, and country singer Chris Young on July 12.

All-day truck and tractor pulls are set for July 14 in the grandstand. Akron Go-Karts and Kokomo Quarter Midgets will also race that week and a “show and shine cruise-in” is also in the works.

For the pie bakers in the family, an apple pie baking contest is set for during the week. Fair-goers can try their luck at any number of Midway games or take a spin, a twirl or a plummet on the variety of carnival rides that  will fill the midway every day of the fair. Food, snacks and beverages will be available from local service clubs, 4-H clubs, churches, and other area organizations.
