Gabi Routson led the charge in the circle, tossing a five-hitter at Plymouth while her teammates did the damage at the plate in a 7-0 Wawasee softball win Friday night in Syracuse.
Routson did not walk a batter and struck out 13 Lady Pilgrims while adding an RBI single of her own. Alli Ousley had three hits and scored twice while Sam Malik and Kylie Norris each had two hits.
Marissa Sullivan had two of Plymouth’s hits and struck out 11 in her pitching duties, but gave way to four Wawasee runs in the bottom of the sixth to blow the game open.
For the second time this season, Wawasee put a 20-spot on the Plymouth JV, winning 20-2 Friday evening. Courtney Crabtree led the Wawasee (14-4) charge with a grand slam and six total RBIs. Alexis Graber added a single, double, triple and four runs scored.
