CULVER – The Triton volleyball team advanced easily in sectional action Thursday night.

The Trojans opened postseason play by defeating LaCrosse 3-0 in the opening match of the Class 1-A Culver Sectional.

Coach Samantha Willsey’s squad topped LaCrosse 25-11, 25-18, 25-16.

Triton advances to play South Central Saturday at 11 a.m. in a sectional semifinal match. South Central topped Argos 25-3, 25-4, 25-5 in the second first-round matchup Thursday night.

The second semifinal Saturday, which will begin at approximately 12:30 p.m., will pit host Culver versus Oregon-Davis.

The sectional championship match is set for 7 p.m. Saturday at Culver.
