WARSAW — Kosciusko County Commissioners took care of a few pieces of business at Monday’s brief meeting. Commissioners signed a few agreements and a contact for various county services.
The board signed a five-year agreement with Kosciusko Medical Group for services provided by the medical director at the 911 Dispatch Center. The cost is $500 a month.
Also, a contract with Century Link was signed and approved. The contract is for calls received through the 911 Dispatch Center. The cost is a one-time fee of $4,174 and a monthly charge of $2,192.
An agreement with Cardinal Services Inc. for use of the county clinic for two years, at a cost of $1,000 a month, was approved. Cardinal Services has a similar agreement as the county with MedStat for medical services.
A bid for a new dump truck for the county highway department was accepted. After reviewing three bids, the lowest bid from Hills Truck Sales, South Bend, for $143,893 was accepted, with the trade of a 1990 dump truck. The new 2013 Freightliner dump truck has a single-axle chassis and it comes equipped with a dump body, hoist, hydraulics, underbody scraper with snow plow hitch and belt sander.
In other matters, the board:
• Signed the annual report for congressional township funds.
Commissioners are President Bob Conley, Brad Jackson and Ron Truex. The next meeting is at 9 a.m. on May 22 at the county courthouse in Warsaw.
