UPDATE: ATV Rollover On EMS B5 Lane
At 4:45 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, Indiana Conservation Officer Tyler Brock reported to the scene of an ATV rollover located at 35 EMS B5 Lane, Leesburg. Upon arrival, the driver was regaining consciousness, but was disoriented. The driver of the ATV has been identified as David Walker, 51, of Warsaw.
According to officials, Walker was traveling West on B5 Lane when he lost control of the ATV, causing the vehicle to rollover. Walker was ejected from the vehicle and was not wearing a helmet. He was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, and was later transported to Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, with hemorrhaging of the brain and minor spine fractures.
The Indiana Department of Natural Resources noted the importance of wearing safety equipment and strongly encourages the use of such equipment when operating ATVs.
