AKRON – The Tippecanoe Valley Middle School 7th grade football team claimed a championship Tuesday.

Valley earned its conference title with a 20-12 win over North Miami.

Jaydin Conley rushed for 121 yards and scored two touchdowns to lead the champions. Jace Potter had a touchdown to go with 41 offensive yards and a fumble recovery.

The Valley 8th grade team defeated North Miami 42-0.

Wes Melanson had 209 all-purpose yards and a pair of touchdowns for Valley.

Alex Bell had two touchdowns and Dwight Conley and Chevy Teeter each had one for the winners.
