Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department is continuing the investigation of a hit-and-run accident Wednesday morning on CR 1300N near Syracuse. Pedestrian Jacob Smith, 18, sustained an arm injury in the accident.

The accident was reported at 10:37 a.m. According to information received, Smith was walking eastbound when he was struck by a vehicle. The vehicle was also headed eastbound. Smith was transported to IU-Health Goshen.

The accident occurred in front of 3379 E. 1300N. Police are looking for a blue, four-door vehicle, possibly a Chevrolet Corsica or similar model.

INITIAL: Milford EMS and Milford Fire are responding to a reported car vs. pedestrian accident on CR 1300N.

The incident is reportedly a hit and run accident with the vehicle leaving the scene where one person was left injured.
