A trio of senior standout athletes at Warsaw Community High School signed their Letters of Intent Friday to compete at the collegiate level.
Spencer Rheinhardt will run track at the University of Notre Dame, while Jordan Wray will play football at Wabash College and Caitlin Johnson soccer at Huntington College.
Rheinhardt, helped the WCHS  cross country team to the Northern Lakes Conference championship, sectional championship, and a 15^th place finish at the state finals this past season.  In track, he qualified for the state meet last year (2011) in three different events – 800, 4×800, and 4×4, and he ran a leg of the school-record 3,200 meter relay.Rheinhardt not only has put up impressive times on races, he has put up impressive scores in the classroom – earning a 12.38 GPA on a 12-point scale while taking many Honors, Advanced Placement, and dual credit courses at WCHS, and he is ranked an impressive 25^thin his class of 468 students.

The son of Bill and Cindy Rheinhardt, Spencer plans to major in Entrepreneurship and Marketing.

Wray, a  three-year letterman in football, also played basketball and ran track at WCHS.   The 6-4 senior wide receiver was a two-year starter for coach Phil Jensen’s Tigers.  Wray, a big target for the Tigers on the field, has been right on target in the classroom.  The National Honor Society student, who also served his church youth group and was a member of the FCA, has earned a 10.21 grade point average while enrolled numerous Advanced Placement, Honors, and dual-credit courses at WCHS.

Wray is the son of Dan and Ginger Wray.

Senior defender Johnson was  instrumental in this fall’s school-record shutout season.

Johnson not only stood out with impressive performances on the soccer field as a four-year starter for coach Dan Miller, she also fared exceptionally well in the classroom, earning an 11.27 GPA while enrolled in numerous Advanced Placement, Honors, and dual credit courses.

With Johnson providing a solid anchor on defense, the Tigers set a school record for most shutouts in a season this past year with 13.  The Tigers also captured the last two sectional titles.

The daughter of Dave and Charlene Johnson, she intends to major in Exercise Science.
