SOUTH WHITLEY – The Tippecanoe Valley volleyball team rallied to edge past host Whitko Wednesday night.

The Vikings took the Three Rivers Conference match by a 17-25, 25-21, 27-25, 28-26 final.

Senior standout Caylie Teel came up big for the winners. Teel had 17 kills to go with four aces, 13 digs and five blocks for Valley.

Abby Betten had a dozen kills and Alexis O’Connell had 10 kills to go with 12 digs and four blocks for the Vikings. Jaden Biddle had 13 digs and Maddy Henninger 19 assists in the win.

Valley improves to 17-9 overall and 4-2 in the TRC.

Elaine Warner and Maddie Gawthrop each had big efforts to lead Whitko. Warner set a single match record with 40 assists and Gawthrop tied a record with 20 kills for the host Wildcats. Warner also had 31 digs.

Kaitlyn Reed had 34 digs for Whitko.

The Wildcats won the junior varsity match 25-13, 25-13.
