Warsaw Redevelopment Approves Downtown Fiber Agreement
At the Warsaw Redevelopment Commission meeting on Monday, Oct. 6, the commission approved an agreement between WRC and Warsaw Fiber.
The agreement outlines the terms of a fiber optic build project in parts of downtown Warsaw. WRC agrees to pay 60 percent of the customer financed portion of build-out cost. Warsaw Fiber will be required to sign up at least 10 business customers in the downtown area, specified as the TIF District.
WRC will be paying a total of $21,000. Payment is due upon completion of the installation.
Warsaw Fiber’s project would provide high-speed broadband internet to residents and businesses in the area of the build. The map below outlines the area of the project.
[Editor’s Note: We have touched base with Warsaw Fiber for more information about their projects in Warsaw and Winona Lake. An article about their local fiber projects is likely to follow.]
