Victims Identified In US 30 SR 19 Crash

Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the two individuals involved in the motor vehicle fatality crash, Saturday Sept. 27, along US 30 in Kosciusko County (see related).

The driver of the fatality vehicle was identified as Jenann Patz, 57, of Crown Point, Ind. She was preliminarily identified on the evening of the vehicular crash, but positive visual identification was completed by family members on Monday, Sept. 29.

The passenger of the fatal pickup truck was unable to be identified at the scene, and was subsequently transported to the Northeast Indiana Forensic Center, Fort Wayne. Dr. Craig Nelson, dentist, and the Allen County Coroner’s Office confirmed the identity of the deceased passenger as Sherri L. Harden, 55, of Cedar Lake, Ind. Positive identification was completed during an autopsy conducted Monday that included dental comparison.

The preliminary cause of death for both ladies is listed at blunt force trauma due to a traumatic event, and manner of death as an accident.
