Though September’s First Friday promised a partnership with local authors to celebrate National Literacy Month, stormy skies and thunderstorms caused for some last minute alterations.
Though the weather was spotty, spirits were still high for those who turned out to celebrate fairy tale characters downtown while listening to the musical stylings of The String Things and Michael Jacobs, a Cherokee contemporary musician.
A 9/11 remembrance ceremony was also to be held downtown during the First Friday festivities. Guests were also able to sample grilled corn from One Ten Craft Meatery, a new restaurant set to open in downtown Warsaw in December.
