WINONA LAKE – Robbie Barnhill got his Grace College soccer career off to a fast start by being named the Crossroads League Defensive Player of the Week.

Barnhill, a sophomore transfer from Malone University, surrendered just one goal in two matches as Grace’s goalkeeper. He shut out John Brown in 86 minutes in goal, before sitting out four minutes after getting hit in the head. He made five saves against John Brown.

Barnhill helped the Lancers to a 2-0 week while recording six saves.

The Lancers’ next home match is Saturday 7 p.m. against Campbellsville, who is receiving votes in the NAIA.
