Kosciusko County’s only daily digital newspaper has garnered impressive numbers since its launch on April 30, 2012, proving that digital, up-to-the-minute news is what the public has long wanted.

Having been in operation just under a month, StaceyPageOnline.com has already had in excess of 235,000 views and has achieved a nearly unheard of Google bounce rate of right at a half percent. “The bounce rate is really impressive,” says Scott Slusser, systems administrator of The Papers Inc. The Papers, out of Milford, Ind., powers the digital daily newspaper. “It means people are coming to the site because they want to be there, it’s direct traffic.”

Also almost unheard of is the amount of time viewers are staying on the site. The average duration of time spent on the site is 6 minutes 40 seconds. “That means they are doing more than scanning headlines, they are reading the content,” says editor Stacey Page. “Our news, sports and obituaries pages of course get the most attention, but every page is being viewed many times and being viewed often, throughout the day.”

StaceyPageOnline.com is different than any other local media in that it’s updated all day, every day. “As news happens, Stacey is out there covering it, posting it, then updating,” says publisher Ron Baumgartner. “It’s the kind of news service the public obviously wants. We’ve had many people tell us that when they hear sirens, they can log on to the website and see what’s happening. If it’s anything big, it’ll be on the site within minutes and Stacey continues to follow the story until all of the facts are known.”

Besides having truly local, up-to-the-minute news and unbiased reporting, StaceyPageOnline.com remains free to the public thanks to local advertisers. For one price, advertisers can have their ad and a link to their own website or coupon appear on Kosciusko County’s leading site for local news.

“Not only is the site getting phenomenal attention, our advertisers are benefitting from that,” says Kip Schumm, director of marketing for The Papers and StaceyPageOnline.com. “The key to successful advertising is repetitiveness and with more than 235,000 views already, the ads on the site are being seen that many times, too. If you have a product to sell or a business to promote, this really is the place you’ll get that message across and that message is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.”
