LCA Soccer Squad Drops Two

lca smallPLYMOUTH – The Lakeland Christian Academy boys soccer team played a pair of games Saturday in the Plymouth Tournament.

The Cougars lost an 8-1 final to Mishawaka in their first game. Mishawaka built a 6-0 halftime lead en route to the win.

LCA put together a strong second half in the opener as senior Logan Phillips scored a goal.  Freshman keeper Elijah Raymond had eight saves for the Cougars.

LCA also dropped an 8-1 final in its second game of the day, this time against South Bend Trinity. The Cougars played a fine first half and trailed just 2-0 at halftime.

Senior Weston Clemens tallied the lone goal for the Cougars, off a free kick from Drew Nieveen.
