Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accidents:

Thursday, Aug. 28, 2:29 p.m. Lake City Highway near Old Road 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Steven W. Shumaker, 63, Main Street, Warsaw; Bryan T. Hughes, 51, E. 400 South, Pierceton. Shumaker rear-ended Hughes after Hughes abruptly hit his brakes. Damages: up to $5,000

Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:

Thursday, Aug. 28, 5:08 p.m. Fort Wayne Street near Indiana Street. Drivers: Melanie M. McGinnis, 33, Maple Drive, Warsaw; Cindy L. Hively, 53, Etna Green. McGinnis was pulling out of the Zimmer parking lot and collided with Hively. No injuries were reported at the time of the accident. Damages: up to $2,500
