BOURBON – The Triton volleyball team came out on the short end in its Northern State Conference opener Thursday night.

Visiting John Glenn topped the host Trojans 25-16, 25-10, 25-14 in league play.

Jaela Meister led the Trojans with eight kills and five digs.

Krystal Sellers had 13 assists to go with four aces and six digs for Triton. Quinn Downing finished with three aces and five digs.

Triton, now 1-1 overall and 0-1 in the NSC, will play at Knoxx Tuesday.

Glenn won the JV match 25-18, 25-22. Hannah Wanemacher led Triton with three kills and seven digs.

The Triton JV team will host its own tournament on Saturday.
