WARSAW – The Warsaw boys soccer team played to a 0-0 stalemate versus Fort Wayne Northrop Tuesday night.

The Class 2-A No. 10 Tigers managed eight shots, while the visiting Bruins had six in the tie.

Senior keeper Peyton Long notched the shutout in goal for the Tigers.

Warsaw opened its season last week with a 3-2 win at Argos.

Warsaw, now 1-0-1, will open Northern Lakes Conference play Thursday night at Plymouth. The Tigers will then host Penn on Saturday.

The Warsaw junior varsity team topped Northrop 3-0. Eduardo Calderon, Riley Brennan and Joaquin Juarez each scored a goal for the JV Tigers. Brennan and Cole Voss each had an assist for the winners.

The Warsaw JV team improves to 3-0 on the season.
