Kosciusko County Democrats hosted an Open House at its new facility in Warsaw on Friday.

Stopping by for the event were Brendan Mullen of South Bend. Mullen is seeking the District 2 Congressional seat. Also at the Democratic headquarters was Kevin Boyd of Fort Wayne. Boyd is seeking the District 3 Congressional seat.

The two candidates were in town to help celebrate the new facility and to meet constituents. Mullen, a West Point graduate, Army combat veteran and local small business owner is seeking his first political stint as a proponent for the middle class. He wants to close tax loopholes that help large corporations ship Hoosier jobs overseas and wants to cut the deficit and keep lower taxes on middle class Indiana families.

Boyd, a Presbyterian minister from Fort Wayne, is also focusing his campaign on economic issues. He wants to seek partnerships between business, industry, and labor and a responsive government to create a tax structure and regulatory environment so the economy can thrive. Boyd is also a strong proponent of education and finding ways to increase energy efficiency.

The new Democratic headquarters is at 417 E. Winona Ave., Warsaw. To learn more, go to
