A month after Fort Wayne’s Baer Field Speedway closed due to decreasing attendance and negativity from some drivers, the Gas City I-69 Speedway announced it is also closing down.

Last week, the venue’s promoter resigned and now, the website for the quarter-mile dirt track says it will not host any more races this summer. The track usually features sprint, midget, thunder car and modified vehicle races through September.
