It took emergency personnel nearly five hours to clear the scene of a crash on U.S. 30 in Columbia City that involved three semis.

Although witnesses on scene said they saw a tanker collide with a semi-trailer believing the driver failed to brake for a red light, investigators now say one of the semis stopped near SR 109 in the eastbound lane for an unknown reason and that resulted in the chain reaction crash.

One of the drivers was reportedly taken to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne for treatment and is in good condition.  The other drivers were not injured.
