The Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club, in conjunction with the Warsaw Police Department and the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, will be hosting a Law Enforcement in Action day on Saturday, May 12, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the courthouse, 100 W. Center St.
The purpose of the program is to provide children and teens ages 6 to 16 years old the opportunity to see various aspects of the law enforcement system and to create a stronger relationship between our youth and local law enforcement.
The day’s events will include multiple police K9 presentations, SWAT presentation and display of weapons, the use of the taser, crime scene investigation, fingerprinting, defensive tactics, and observe the equipment available to our officers. An inmate lunch will be provided followed by a tour of the Kosciusko County Jail and Central Dispatch Center.
Anyone interested in participating in the program may obtain a registration form from the Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club website or from the Warsaw Police Department.
