An 82-year-old Marshall County man was killed in a Sunday evening crash near Bourbon.
Police say Donald Ferguson of Plymouth died at the scene of yesterday’s crash after his vehicle was rear-ended by a semi. The accident happened around 4 p.m. on U.S. 30 near 12th Road, just east of Bourbon. Ferguson’s wife was also in the car and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
The driver of the semi was not identified. Authorities say he submitted to chemical testing but they do not believe alcohol was a factor.
In a separate crash, the driver of a Ford Tempo may have fallen asleep at the wheel resulting in a roll over crash at Parker and Center streets at about 7 p.m. Sunday. Warsaw Police at the scene say the driver was witnessed nodding off behind the wheel. His vehicle collided with a second car before jumping a curb and rolling over.
