The hardware stayed right at home in the Max Truex Tiger Boys Track Invitational Friday night thanks to an impressive performance by the hosts.

A pair of record-setting performances by Warsaw highlighted the talent-filled meet, won by the No. 9 Tigers.

The Individual 4 X 800 relay team of Ismael Calderon, Jacob Poyner, Ellis Coon and Spencer Rheinhardt set one of the three records in the 30th annual event with a top time of 7:52.73.

The Tigers also got a record-setting effort in the Team 4 X 400 race as Ryan Goon, Rheinhardt, Chad Goon, Wyatt Jones, Gabe Furnival, Nathan Kolbe, Michael Compton and Poyner prevailed in 6:53.87.

Warsaw won the meet for the seventh time overall, most of any school, and claimed its first championship since 2006. The Tigers piled up 124 points to outdistance No. 15 Penn (115.5), Hobart (99), No. 14 Fort Wayne North Side (83), LaPorte (82), Marian (30) and Tippecanoe Valley (9.5).

Poyner and Ellis Coon claimed invididual event titles for Warsaw. Poyner won the 1,600 run relay in 4:22.78 and Coon claimed the 3,200 run relay in 9:46.34.

Warsaw got second-place finishes from Taylor Cone (110 hurdles), Ryan Goon (300 hurdles), Rheinhardt (800), Robert Murphy (3,200), Stephen Kolbe (high jump), Zach Rooney (long jump) and Seth Fouts (shot put).

Wyatt Jones placed third in the 400 dash relay,   Cameron Fritzel third in the shot put and Rooney third in the high jump for the champion Tigers.
