Ripley
This is Ripley.  He is a chocolate lab/terrier or boxer mix that was pulled from a high kill pound in Gary with only hours left to live. He is only 8 months old, up-to-date on all vaccinations, he is heartworm negative and on preventative medicine.

Ripley is neutered and ready for his forever home.  He is currently in a loving foster home, knows basic commands and walks well on a leash. He loves kids and other dogs, but likes to chase cats even though he hasn’t hurt one. His foster mom says he is a big baby and has an easy temperment. She is still working on house training him.

Stella
Stella is a 2-year-old cattle dog/red heeler/terrier mix that is all muscle. She is as sweet as she is pretty. Stella came in with Ripley from an extremely high kill shelter in northern Indiana. She is playful, housebroken, walks well on a leash and is getting better every day.  She gets along well with other dogs, not cats, and loves children. She also does a perfect hunting point.

Stella is up-to-date on her vaccinations, heartworm negative, spayed and ready to kiss (she does like to do this) her way into your heart. Stella loves other dogs, but they must be her size or larger. She tends to think the small dogs are cats. She has a high-energy drive and would make a great jogging partner or fielder for a pitcher. She would do better with a fenced yard or lots of walks.

Ripley and Stella are available through S.C.A.R.S. Pit Bull Rescue.  Adoption fees are: $125 for adults over a yr old which includes spay/neuter. $75 plus a $75 spay/neuter deposit for puppies under 12 months of age. Puppies must be altered no later than 6 months or 45 from date of adoption if over the age of 6 months. All dogs will be up-to-date on shots prior to adoption. An adoption application and home check is required. Contact: [email protected]
