Loma L. Snyder, 91, of Bremen, Ind., passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at Bremen Health Care Center.

She was born on Feb. 5, 1921, to John and Inez (Frenger) Edel in Bremen. Loma graduated from Bremen High School and married R. John Snyder on Dec. 22, 1947. She worked as a homemaker, caring for her family. Loma was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, the VFW Auxiliary, and the Happy Homemakers Club.

Loma is survived by two daughters: Cindy (Rick) Young, Bremen; and Natalie (John) Smith, Syracuse; four grandsons: Ted (Jill) Snyder, Troy Young, Jason (Heather) Smith, and Ryan Smith; four granddaughters: Kimberly (Aron) Leeper, Jodi (Jon) Feldman, Amanda (Matt) Kaprove, and Jamie Smith; 18 great-grandchildren; and four sisters: Charlotte Edel, Bremen; Vivian (Lester) Walker, South Bend; Mary Aker, Plymouth; and Marcia (Don) Corl, Syracuse.

She was preceded in death by her husband: John; a son: J. Michael Snyder; a son and daughter-in-law: Steven L. (Sue) Snyder; seven brothers; and six sisters.

A funeral service will be held at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 23, at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen. Pastor Neil Wonnacott will officiate and burial will follow in the Bremen Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2012.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Community Hospital of Bremen, or donor’s choice.
