Pitching carried Tippecanoe Valley to a 6-0 prep baseball win at Whitko Wednesday.

James Hackworth and Clayton Adamson combined to fire a two-hitter with 14 strikeouts as the Vikings won the TRC opener for both teams. Hackworth fanned 12 in six innings, while Adamson struck out two in the final frame.

Jacob Ritchey smacked a three-run double for Valley (7-5, 1-0). Hackworth and Kameron Larimer each had two hits for the winners.

Colin Nicodemus had a double for Whitko (9-5, 1-0).
