North Webster
North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident and incidents and made the following arrests:

Accident

11:51 a.m. Friday, July 18, North 850E. Myk A. Jones, South Manor Drive, Syracuse was driving a vehicle that was southbound when approaching a curve. Not realizing how sharp the curve was, Jones turned the car and began to slide in gravel. The vehicle then spun around and went off the road into a ditch. It came to a stop facing north. No other information given.

Incidents

  • 2:14 p.m. Thursday, July 17, North Short Street.  John W. Dean, 47, reported his paddle boat had been stolen while they were out on the lake or the previous night.
  • 12 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, EMS W23 Lane. George A. Lyons, 51, believes his checking account has been fraudulently used.
  • 7 p.m. Friday, July 11,  East Washington Street. A male victim Ronald Leon Timmons, 57, reported the van he was using had been vandalized. It belonged to Chad D. Landon, 42.
  • 11:06 a.m. Friday, July 11, North Center Street West. Richard B. Monroe, 63,  reported the theft of three pier space for rent signs from different locations on different days. The investigation continues.

Arrests

  • 8:58 p.m. Friday, July 18 . A male subject, Cory Iden, was arrested on a warrant. Paraphernalia was located and believed to belong to male subject. There was white residue inside the paraphernalia. Charges were requested. No other information given.
  • 8:07 p.m. Thursday, July 17, South Main Street. The driver of a green Ford Ranger was found to be intoxicated. Adam Christopher Smith, 29, EMS R4 Ln., Pierceton, was arrested for OWI and taken to the Kosciusko County Jail, Warsaw. Bond: $550 cash.
  • 7:59 p.m. Friday, July 11, Syracuse-Webster Road. Steven Wayne Northrup, 51, 7433 N. Syracuse-Webster Road was arrested for OWI with a BAC of .15 percent or more and taken to the county jail. Bond: $550 cash.
