WCHS Grad Gets A Jumpstart At IU
Friday, Bryce Carter, a 2014 graduate of Warsaw Community High School, completed his two-day freshman orientation at Indiana University, which included enrolling in classes for the Fall 2014 semester.
Knowing he wanted to double major in computer sciences and mathematics, the road to graduation had the potential to be a daunting one. However, due to his time at WCHS, which included AP, Dual Credit, and honors courses, Bryce was able to transfer in 45 credit hours, making him a second-semester sophomore.
Bryce’s father, Kevin Carter, credits the high school and its staff for inspiring and equipping Bryce to pursue the opportunities to excel. Bryce’s hard work and determination paired with the multiple opportunities, support, instruction, and guidance from the WCHS staff, proved to be a winning combination. According to his advisor at IU, Bryce will be able to complete his double major within only three years!
Bryce isn’t the only WCHS graduate that will experience these benefits in college. Taking advantage of AP courses, Dual Credit courses, honors courses, and other opportunities at WCHS has and will continue to benefit graduates by streamlining their education and reducing the high cost of post-secondary education!
