LCA girls win Tingley Invitational

Jo Boren took top individual honors in leading the Lakeland Christian Academy girls track team to the championship  of the Tingley Invitational at Howe Saturday.

Boren won four events, including setting meet records in the 200 (27.1) and 400 (1:05), to earn Top Female Performer accolades. Boren also won the long jump (14-10) and teamed with Emilee Catron, Jessica Hand and Hannah Remington to win the 1,600 relay.

Hailey Nieveen set a meet record in winning the 100 hurdles (17.03) for the champions and also won the 300 hurdles (54.0). Catron won the discus with a toss of 63-3.

Chad Wright and John Rohrs led the LCA boys team to a third-place finish in the invitational. Wright won the 110 hurdles (18.8) and Rohrs was first in the 400 (53.9).
