The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect until 7 p.m. this evening for 17 northern Indiana counties and 3 southwest lower Michigan counties.

In Indiana, Kosciusko, Elkhart, Fulton, Grant, Huntington, LaPorte, LaGrange, Marshall, Miami, Noble, Pulaski, St. Joseph, Wabash, White and Whitley counties are included in the watch area. Berrien, Cass and St. Joe counties in Michigan are also affected.

We are also in for what could be some interesting — and well below average — weather for this time of year. Tonight’s low is expected to dip into the mid-50s with highs for Tuesday and Wednesday at only 67 degrees. (See related)
