Devert Jacobs, 58, of Cromwell, passed away on Dec. 26, 2014, at his home.

He was born May 1, 1956, in Kott County, Ky., to Frank and Lydia (Slone) Jacobs.

He is survived by his companion of 34 years, Ella Scott of Cromwell; a daughter, Mary Ann Jacobs-Hall of Prestonsburg, Ky; a step-son, Rob Scott of Columbia City; a step-daughter, Jennifer Scott of Jackson, Mich.; and three grandchildren, Jacey Scott, Jenna Scott and Travis Beckner. Also surviving are his siblings: Frank Jacobs of Pippa Passes, Ky., Jaqueline Kipp of Elkin, N.C., Jean Jacobs-Hall of Topmost, Ky, Kathy Barhydt of Ligonier, Shirley Brewer of Cromwell, Ann Glaser of Dwale, Ky, Brenda Ritchie of Ligonier, Helen Jacobs of Wawka, Michael Jacobs of Cromwell, Linda Arispe of Wawaka, Glenda Slone of Pippa Passes, Ky., and Sonya Huff of Wawaka; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Johnny and Buster Jacobs and a niece, Ashley Noble.

He retired as head maintenance man at Landmark Estates.

Private family services will be Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Shiloh Baptist Church in Ligonier.

A cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation and Remembrance Center in Ligonier.
