Frederick MockFrederick R. “Fred” Mock, 75, of Syracuse, passed away at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014 at his home.

He was born on March 8, 1939 in North Webster, to Wayne & Arlene L. (Green) Mock.

On March 12, 1966, in Syracuse, he was married to Becky S. Fisher who survives.

He attended North Webster High School, was a Unites States Army veteran and lived most of his life in the North Webster/Syracuse area except for 14 years in California. He retired in 2014 from J.C. Pontoon in North Webster after 24 years of service.

He formerly attended the Baptist Church.

Additional survivors include: one daughter, Danielle Mayberry of Buford, S.C.; one son, Eric (Amy) Mock of Grand Rapids, Mich.; two grandchildren; one great-grandson; four sisters, Marjorie (Chuck) Mabie of Sarasota, Fla., Norma (Harold) George of Apache Junction, Ariz., Gloria Mabie of Sarasota, Fla., and Carolyn Krum of New Paris; and five brothers, Allen Mock of Sacramento, Calif., Bruce (Bev) Mock of New Paris, Steve (Fran) Mock of Tucson, Ariz., Doug (Jan) Mock of New Paris and Rodney (Vickie) Mock of Warsaw.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Sean Ray Mock, two sisters: Delores Neff and Jo Ellen Steger, and four brothers: Russell, Clare, Dick, and Robert Mock.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30 at the funeral home in Syracuse with Pastor Bud Winstead of the West Etna Community Church in Larwill officiating. Burial will follow in the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery with military graveside services.

Memorial bequest may be given to the Goshen Care at Home Hospice, P.O. Box 723, Goshen, IN 46527. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
