A new McDonald’s will begin serving customers this week in Warsaw. The new restaurant, located at 2473 Jalynn St., will officially open to the public today. The store is a $2.5 million investment in the community by McDonald’s Corporation.
A grand opening celebration for VIP guests was held Wednesday evening. As part of today’s opening day, the restaurant is giving away a free Big Mac a week for a year to the first 100 customers at 5 a.m. and one free Egg McMuffin® each week for a year to the first 100 customers at 3 p.m.
The 5,200-square-foot restaurant‘s interior and exterior has the new fresh sophisticated look of McDonald’s. The indoor seating area offers modern classic décor and has plenty of space for guests to connect with each other and to the Internet while dining.
The in-store menu boards will feature digital graphics that will make the ordering process easier for customers. Other features patrons will see include a dual-lane drive thru and a “Dual Point of Service” system that will allow customers to see when their order is ready, improving order accuracy and customer organization. The new location also includes a newly designed “fast-forward hallway” for beverages making the drive-thru process smoother.
“We’re delighted to bring a brand new restaurant to the area,” said Lloyd Lee, McDonald’s operations manager. “This Warsaw area is growing and we’re pleased to be a part of that growth.”
The new restaurant also means 93 new jobs for the community.
Interested candidates can apply online by going to www.mcindiana.com, entering the city of Warsaw, and selecting the restaurant location.
