Wilma Draper, 99 of Warsaw, passed away at 1:20 a.m. Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.
On June 9, 1915, she was born in Rochester, to Ora and Fairy (Woods) Pike. Wilma was united in marriage to Paul Draper on Dec. 25, 1938, in Rochester, who preceded her in death on Sept. 27, 2005.
Wilma moved to Kosciusko County in 1941. She worked as a bookkeeper for Rice Ford, Warsaw, where she retired. She was a member of First Christian Church, Warsaw where she was very active in all church functions, including being a Sunday school teacher for 50 years, former choir director, organist, treasurer and a member of Dorcas Ladies Circle.
Wilma is survived by her son: Howard ‘Butch’ (Angie) Draper, Montgomery, Ill.; her daughter: Cindy Nolton, Winona Lake; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three great-grandsons; six step-great-grandchild; and one step-great-great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26, at the funeral chapel. A funeral service will be at 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 26, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with Pastor Gary Boschain officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
