Roddie Lee Sizemore, 68, of Silver Lake, passed away at 2:22 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, 2014, in his residence.

He was born Feb. 10, 1946, in Logan County, W.Va., to Thomas Jefferson and Ruth Cleo (Adams) Sizemore. He served in the Army during the Cuban Missile Crisis. On March 17, 1964, he married Phyllis Blankenship.

Roddie was a business owner, deputy sheriff, factory worker, security guard, firefighter and worked at Pathfinders. He was an avid gardener, carpenter and chef. He was also a doting grandfather and great grandfather.

He is survived by his wife; one son: Roderick Sizemore, Silver Lake; four daughters: Tammy Sizemore Stanley, Silver Lake; Robin (Bill) Sizemore Burchfield, Laketon; Drema (Barry) Sizemore Drudge, North Manchester; Cherokee Sizemore, Silver Lake; two brothers: Eugene Sizemore, North Manchester; Randall Sizemore, Logan, W.Va.; 13 grandchildren: Rosenea, Broderick, Christina, Jessica, Megan, Zack, Mia, Adian ‘Yetti’, Damien, Veronica, Adrienne, Delani and John Boy; and seven great-grandchildren: Destiny, Riley, Damien, ‘Rad Knite’ Sizemore, Autumn, Gregory and Phoebe.

He was preceded in death by two sons, one brother and one sister.

Visitation will take place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22, and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, at McKee Mortuary, SR 114 W., North Manchester. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, at the funeral home with Pastor Kelly  Beutler and Pastor Erin Hurias officiating. Burial will be in Laketon Cemetery.
