1478514_profile_picNancy Ann Immel, 70, of New Paris, passed away early Monday morning, Dec. 15, 2014, at IU Health Goshen Hospital following a stroke two weeks ago.

She was born March 26, 1944, in Goshen, to Robert Wilson and Violet (Mather) Wilson Blocker. On Aug. 4, 1963, she married Charles A. Immel at the First English Lutheran Church, Goshen.

A 1962 graduate of Goshen High School, Nancy attended Fort Wayne Beauty School. She was an active, lifetime member of First English Lutheran Church, now Faith Lutheran Church. Nancy worked at the Farmers’ Exchange newspaper every Wednesday for 30 years and worked part time at Newell’s for many years. Nancy was a kind and generous person. She had a gift for hospitality and making people feel loved. She was the world’s greatest Nana.

She is survived by her husband; two sons: Chris (Tonia) Immel, Goshen; Thad (Stacey) Immel, Evansville; three grandchildren: Natalie, Gale and Jack; a brother: Robert Wilson, Goshen; and two half-sisters: Jennifer Rowdabaugh, Goshen; and Tish (Dale Bickley) Wilson, Dayton, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son: Chad Everett Immel in 1965.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, at Faith Lutheran Church, 406 S. 5th Street, Goshen. Burial will follow in New Paris Cemetery.
