Ronald ‘Ron’ L. Freel Sr., 75, of Cromwell, passed away Dec. 11, 2014, in North Webster.

He was born Oct. 5, 1939, in Huntington County, to Charles and Rosemary (Huston) Freel. On Aug. 27, 1961, he married Judith Gray who survives.

He worked many years locally as a meat cutter. He retired in 2001 from Commodore Homes. He was a past member of the Coon Hunters Association.

He is survived by his wife; one son: Ronald L. (Shellee) Freel Jr., Elkhart; two daughters: Nancy (Robert) Neal, Cromwell; Amanda (James) Campbell, Ligonier; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers: Carl (Sue) Freel, Syracuse; Gail (Debi) Freel, North Webster; Tom (Judy) Freel, North Webster; two sisters: Patricia (Doyle) Bowers, South Whitley; and Jodi Freel, North Webster.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother: James Freel.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15, at Eastlund Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, at the funeral home with Pastor Melvin Chup officiating.
