Phyllis J. Abbett, 80, of Warsaw, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2014, at her home.

She was born on June 4, 1934, in Huntington County, to Robert and Marie (Taylor) Henmyer. She grew up in Huntington and graduated in 1952 from Huntington High School. She was married on June 6, 1952, in Huntington, to Phillip L. ‘Phil’ Abbett who survives and moved to the Warsaw area in 1956 from Huntington.

She was formerly employed at the Kosciusko County Court House as a custodian, worked at Tippecanoe Country Club in Leesburg and cleaned homes for many years.

She was a member of the Country Bible Church in North Webster and formerly attended the North Webster Church of God.

She is survived by her husband; daughter: Brenda (Gus) Ditsch, South Bend; sister: Carol Baugher, Fresco, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters: Belinda Abbett and Sheila Abbett; and son: Todd Abbett.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13, at Country Bible Church, 4782 N 850E, North Webster. Memorial services will follow at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, in the church, with Pastor Myron Drent officiating. Owen Family Funeral Home, SR 13 and CR 500N, North Webster, is entrusted with the arrangements.
