Jo Anna Lemler #3Jo Anna Lemler, 79, of Tippecanoe, passed away on Monday, Dec. 8, 2014, in Signature Health Care Bremen.

She was born Sept. 4, 1935, in Argos, to Harry and Hope (Fites) McPherron. She was a 1953 graduate of Tippecanoe High School. Joanna married Chester Paul Lemler on May 20, 1955. He survives.

She served 31 years driving bus for the Triton School Corporation, as well as being a farm wife and mother of five children. Joanna was a faithful member of the Tippecanoe Community Church. She was an avid bird watcher, candy lover and was always up for a game of dominos, rummy, Yahtzee and was a member of a euchre club for over 50 years.

She is survived by her husband; children: Brad (Cathy) Lemler, Goshen; Cindy (Lemler) Evens, Williamsport; Garry (Maureen) Lemler, Tippecanoe; Andy (Connie) Lemler, Bourbon; Zak (Tracy) Lemler, Bourbon; 15 grandchildren: Nicole Jernagan, Katie Evens, Ross Lemler, Stacy Blosser, Ryan Evens, Steven Lemler, Chad Lemler, Shane Lemler, Erin Hesters, Zane Lemler, Jodie Lemler, Skylar Lemler, Lexee Lemler, Caleb Lemler and Emma Lemler; six great-grandchildren: Miles, Jordi, Emry, Bailey, Ashton and Kathie; three siblings: Thomas (Mary Jo) McPherron, Bremen; Larry (Nancy) McPherron, Plymouth; and Kathy (Mike) VanHorn, Fort Myers, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law, Scot Evens.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, at Tippecanoe Community Church, 2940 18B Road, Tippecanoe, and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at the church. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at the church with Pastor George Shoemaker of Tippecanoe Church officiating. Burial will be in the Summit Cemetery, Bourbon, Indiana. Deaton Clemens Funeral Home has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
