Valerie Ann Skinner, 44, of Winona Lake, passed away at 10:47 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, 2014, in her home.
She was born on Nov. 2, 1970, to Eugene and Barbara (Green) Frye, in Spaulding, Manchester Parish, Jamaica, West Indies. She was a 1988 graduate of Warsaw Community High School. Valerie studied at Grace College and went on to earn her biblical studies degree from Word of Life Bible Institute. She and Randy Skinner were married Aug. 4, 1999, in Warsaw.
Valerie lived most of her life in Kosciusko County and was a self-employed housekeeper. She loved and treasured her boys. Valerie attended Christ’s Covenant Church. She enjoyed the beach and flower gardening in the summer; and she loved her cat, Snow.
She is survived by her husband; two sons: Nicholas Skinner and Joseph Skinner, at home; parents: Eugene and Barbara Frye, Warsaw; and her brother and sister-in-law: Nate and Lisa Frye, Winona Lake.
Valerie was preceded in death by her sister: Angela Frye.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan St., Warsaw. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, at the funeral Home. Pastor Jeff Pfeiffer of Warsaw Community Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
