Andrew Lester, 62, of North Manchester, passed away at 11:50 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014, at the Visiting Nurse Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.

He was born Jan. 17, 1952, to Lawrence and Okie (Bailey) Lester. He married Marilyn Sue Ross Pennington on March 20, 1982, she survives.

He was in the U.S. Army and had attended the Congregational Christian Church, North Manchester. He enjoyed attending meetings of the Miami Indians, and was a member of the Mihsihkinaahkwa Powwow Committee, Columbia City. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and working on cars.

He is survived by three sons: Jason Lester, Goshen; Jeremy Lester, North Manchester; Jeff Lester, three brothers: Jerry (Martha) Lester, North Manchester; Ray (Debra) Lester, Bremen; Randy (Carrie) Lester, North Manchester; four sisters: Pauline (Max) Cordill, North Manchester; Janie (Jim) Combs, Silver Lake; Nadine (Rick) Cripe, Laketon; Cathy (Jack) Rupley, North Manchester; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and three sisters.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, at McKee Mortuary. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, at the funeral home with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating. Burial will be in the Lagro Cemetery, Lagro.
