Dean A. Long, 83, of Bremen passed away Thursday, Nov. 27, 2014, at Doctors Hospital in Bremen.

He was born May 18, 1931, in South Bend, Ind., to Johnathan T. and Gertrude May Long. January 15, 1966, he married Marilyn Lorraine Thomas.

Dean graduated from Mishawaka High School then went on to serve his country in the US Army. He retired from AM General after 30 years. Dean was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Walkerton, he was an Eagle Scout, Boy Scout Leader and enjoyed travelling.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters: Lorraine (Roger) Nettles, Vancouver, Wash. and Brenda (Sandor) Voo, Valparaiso, Ind., two grandchildren: Brooke and Brennen Voo, Valparaiso.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister: Dorothy and two brothers: Harold and Donald.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2 at the United Pentecostal Church in Walkerton. Reverend Arnold Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery with Military Honors.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1 at the Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen. Memorial Contributions may be given to the United Pentecostal Church in Walkerton.
