An accident on Lake City Highway (U.S. 30) at CR 250 East in Warsaw caused some traffic woes for motorists, but fortunately no serious injuries were reported.

Warsaw Police and firefighters of the Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory responded to the accident between a passenger car and a mini van at 2:32 p.m. Tuesday. According to a police investigation, Amy Williamson, 48, of Warsaw, was southbound on CR 250 East crossing the intersection at Lake City Highway when a car, driven by Patricia Yoder, 85, Warsaw, failed to stop at a red light and collided with Williamson’s mini van.

Yoder was attempting to make a left turn onto CR 250 East and said she did not know what color the traffic light was. She was cared for by Multi-Township EMS at the scene for minor leg injury.

Damages were estimated at up to $10,000.
