Samarah Ann Engle-Grisby, 4 months old, of Warsaw, passed away at 11:28 a.m. Monday, Nov. 24, 2014, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

On July 25, 2014, she was born in Fort Wayne to Carl Grisby and Melissa Engle. Samarah was Mommy and Daddy’s “warrior princess.” She had been through many health issues in her short life and was a true fighter. She fought hard to overcome her health issues until the end.

Samarah touched a lot of people. She was an independent child who loved to hear her Sister read to her. Briauna and Samarah loved each other very much.

She is survived by her parents: Carl Grisby and Melissa Engle, Warsaw; her sister: Briauna Engle, Warsaw; maternal grandparents: Troy and Bonnie Long, Warsaw; Robert (Jody) Engle, Warsaw; paternal grandfather: Charles Grisby, Tennessee; maternal great-grandparents: Judy Robinson, Warsaw; Ruth Seiffert, Warsaw; Ivory and Judy Snipes, Claypool.

Samarah was preceded in death by her brother: Braidyn Grisby; and her paternal grandmother: Annie Grisby.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, at the funeral home with Pastor Gary Boschain officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
