Emma (Kulp) Martin, 90, of Nappanee, died at 2 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014, at her residence after a short illness.

She was born Feb. 12, 1924, in Elkhart County to Christian and Emma Elizabeth (Blosser) Kulp. On March 14, 1948, she married Junior Martin at her parents home. He preceded in death.

Mrs. Martin was a lifetime area resident. She was a member of the Wisler Mennonite Church and a homemaker.

She is survived by her children: Dallas Lavon Martin, Topeka; Marciel Joyce (Dean) Martin, Nappanee; Donald Wayne (Esther) Martin, Decker, Mich.; Verlin LeRoy (Charlotte) Martin, Bristol; Melba Jean (Luke) Hoover, New Paris; Delores Ann (Arthur) Bechtel, Marlette, Mich.; Lucinda Marie (Burnell) Martin, Ridgeland, Wis.; 47 grandchildren; 97 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law; Martha Kulp, Goshen.

She was preceded in death by a grandson: Jeffrey Martin; brothers: Samuel, Joseph, Ernest, Christian Jr. and Isaac Kulp; a daughter-in-law: Sandra Martin; and sisters: Susanna and Mary Kulp, Martha King and Barbara Kilmer.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, at the RMYC (Ramer Mennonite Youth Center). Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 27, at Yellow Creek Wisler Mennonite Church. Home Ministry of the Church will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Wakarusa.
