Myrtle “Myrt” Mae Laidig, 85 of Mishawaka,passed away on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014.

Laidig was born in South Bend on May 19, 1929. She graduated from Madison Twp. School.

She married Stanley E. Laidig on Nov. 8, 1947; they were married 66 years. He preceded her in death in September of 2014.

Laidig was a seamstress, active in 4-H growing up and continued helping as an adult.

She is survived by her four children, two daughters, Rebecca (Jeff) Worley of Phoenix, Ariz., Lisa Laidig, of Independence, Mo.; two sons, Bruce (Karen) Laidig of Bremen and Jack (Diane) Laidig of Bremen; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Keith Weade; and sister, Elvertia Barden.

There will be no viewing or service. There will be a private burial service at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Oak Grove Missionary Church, 69009 Beech Road, Nappanee.

Mishler Funeral Homes, Bremen and Milford, were in charge of arrangements.
