Charles L. Long, 58, passed away at 6:56 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at his Etna Green home.
He was born on April 17, 1956, in Warsaw, to Daniel G. Long and Evelyn (Unruh) Long. He was a 1975 graduate of Warsaw Community High School, Warsaw; also has 8 weeks at Purdue University – Agriculture Business
He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County. Charles was a farmer; Lear Corp. in Bourbon. He was a member of Mt. Tabor Church of God; avid Amish transporter; member of 4-H Alumni, Kosciusko County Cattlemen’s Association; Indiana Cattlemen’s Association; Limousin Cattlemen’s Foundation; Triton FFA Supporter; longtime member of Warsaw Square Dance Club.
He is survived by two sons: Aaron Long, Etna Green; Nathan Long, Etna Green; two grandchildren: Jayden and Liam Long, at home; mother: Evelyn Sechrist, Etna Green.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. at Mt. Tabor Church of God, Nappanee. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday Nov. 21, at the church with Pastor Jeremy Gruser of Mount Tabor Church of God officiating. Burial will be in Stony Point, Atwood.
